Westwood Recruitment are seeking a hard working & reliable waste operative for a 6 month assignment in Wolverhampton.

Key Information:
Role: Waste Operative
Type: Contract
Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: £14.06 per hour
Hours: 8pm to 4am (Monday to Thursday & Sunday)
Location: Willenhall, WV13

Responsibilities:

• Representing the employer professionally by demonstrating company values and expected behaviours.
• Working safely and responsibly to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Following all health, safety, environmental, and waste management procedures in line with company and client requirements.
• Reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly.
• Operating counterbalance forklift trucks safely, including the movement of baled materials for disposal.
• Operating static baling and compaction equipment to process waste materials safely.
• Completing daily equipment inspections, check sheets, and defect reports accurately.
• Safely loading and unloading waste, equipment, and other materials as required.
• Collecting, sorting, storing, transporting, and processing routine and non-routine waste streams.
• Carrying out manual handling tasks involving large or bulky items in a safe manner.
• Maintaining clean and tidy working areas, including regular litter picking duties.
• Completing all work-related paperwork and documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Undertaking additional duties within current training and competency levels as directed by management or client representatives.
