Location: Greater Manchester / North-West 

Westwood Construction are seeking a Permanent Project Manager to join our client - a specialist cladding contractor. 

The PM has overall responsibility for their project to ensure it is delivered safely, to the correct quality standards, on time and on budget. Including but not limited to:
  • Responsible for Setting up site including welfare and documentation.
  • Management of on site projects and all staff involved.
  • Managing and coordination with all staff involved within the project, (site supervisor, RLO, design team, procurement team, commercial team).
  • Delegating works and ensuring action completed with
  • site team.
  • Responsible for all H & S on site and ensuring H & S is being adhered to on site at all times.
  • Creation and updating of all H & S documentation on site, and periodic updates.
  • Posting of all H&S documents within the office, and saved within Procore at all times.
  • Ensuring Sub-Contractors follow H & S on site, as per
  • H&S policy & HSE regs.
  • Management of Sub-Contractors and on site personnel, including dealing with any disputes and order amendments.
  • Deliver daily activity briefings with all contractors and site staff.
  • Daily diary must be fully completed on Procore, daily.
  • Disciplinary action to Sub-Contractors where required including issuing information to commercial team for contractual notices.
  • Responsible for holding weekly progress meetings with all Sub-Contractors, and recording minutes.
  • Responsible for holding weekly progress meetings with internal departments, and recording minutes.
  • Attending/Chairing Programme/Progress meetings with all client/stakeholders on the project to ensure the project is completed on the agreed programme date (Monthly).
  • Issuing weekly reports on Programme, progress, Design, H & S and any project risks to senior management. (saved in Procore).
  • Monitoring & Mitigating project risks.
  • Request and check specifications where required.
  • Raise material requests for orders on projects where required - As agreed with the Design
  • department
  • Check project handover packs prior to starting on site and raise RFI's to ensure all
  • information is correct prior to starting work.
  • Creating and updating the Programme of Works showing progress and delays.
  • Update the current client contract programme weekly with dropline of progress. Editing to include any external delays.
  • Issuing of EWNs to client and recording delays.
  • Creating and updating internal site programmes/elevation specific programmes, weekly. Recording al delays with dropline of progress.
  • Managing and checking setting out is correct prior to starting works on site
  • Ensuring cladding systems are being installed according to manufacturers specification and
  • are compliant with Part B regulations
  • Instruct labour for projects where required
  • Liaise with clients/contractors throughout project
  • QA / ITP process – Set up, Following and implementing inspections and testing processes.
  • Documenting quality on projects using Procore daily.
  • On site stock checks / stock control.
  • Check measure drawings.
  • Pre start meetings and site visits as and when required.
  • Arranging & meeting necessary consultants on projects to ensure compliance throughout the course of the project.
  • Assistance with creating completion all paperwork/documents for the projects.
  • Handover to clients for each area inline with project programme.
  • Creating Risk Assessments and Method statements and periodic updates.
  • Attend Budget and cost analysis meeting – Fortnightly.
  • Coordinate operational and design meetings with site team and Sub-Contractors.
  • Coordinating and meeting with designers to ensure that the design is suitable for the build.
  • Responsible for regularly Updating clients through email where necessary.
  • Reporting information on Valuations to assist company invoicing through progress report.
  • Reporting information on Subcontractor Valuations to assist with payment certificates.
  • Reporting on Variations out of our scope for contract works.
  • Responsible for regularly trying to progress works ahead of Programme.
  • Use of Procore on all projects - This is to be completed consistently every day and will lead to
  • disciplinary action if not completed.
  • All key project documents, incoming/outgoing to be save within procore.
  • Maintaining procore document folders for your project, to ensure information is saved in the correct location and logical to find.
  • Rasing any urgent matters of actions to the contracts manager/operations manager as required, to assist in a timely resolution.
