Westwood Recruitment Sponsors Music for the Senses – A Summer Celebration of Art & Sound in Manchester

This summer, Manchester is turning up the volume and Westwood Recruitment is proud to be part of the soundtrack. From 7th July to 31st August 2025, the city will come alive with Music for the Senses– a city-wide trail of guitars transformed into stunning works of art, set against the backdrop of Manchester’s buzzing music scene. The project is brought to life through a collaboration between global art producer Wild in Art (Bee in the City, Gratitude) and Manchester City Council. This is promised to be a huge summer of music in Manchester where well-known musicians, including ‘Oasis’, have donated guitars to be displayed.

As a Manchester-born and based business, we knew we had to get involve in this exciting project. Westwood Recruitment has proudly sponsored one of the guitars, "Strum and Bass"  which is beautifully decorated by artist Jack Lloyd (House of Bystander) and will be on display throughout the summer at 100 Embankment Building.

Our Managing Director, Chris Couser, shared: ‘Westwood are so pleased to be apart of such a wonderful city-wide project, bringing us closer to the communities we work with. We are looking forward to meeting you on the trail.’

One of the many street installations in Manchester.

Visitors can download the Music for the Senses app (available on the App Store and Google Play from 7th July) to follow the trail, vote for their favourite guitar, and even unlock exclusive rewards from participating sponsors, including us!

At the end of the trail, the guitars will be auctioned off to raise funds in support of grassroots music projects and venues across Greater Manchester. The proceeds will go towards a special fund created by charity partner ‘Forever Manchester’ in collaboration with Manchester Music City.

So grab a map, fire up the app, and hit the trail this summer– we’ll see you (and Strum and Bass) out there.
