Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ellie to the Westwood office for an exciting and action-packed week of work experience.

Ellie is the daughter of Jo from Empowered to Thrive and Live Great Adventures CIC, two organisations we are incredibly proud to support. True to the spirit of those ventures, Ellie arrived ready to learn, get stuck in, and explore all the opportunities that Westwood and our sister companies have to offer.

Over five busy days, Ellie dived into recruitment, resourcing, customer service, marketing, project management, admin, and more, getting a real feel for how each part of the business works.

She also spent time with some of the wider Westwood Group, including Transfer Travel and Perks of the Job, gaining valuable insight into how different brands operate under one umbrella and how we collaborate across teams.

No two days were the same. From sitting in on candidate calls, helping with campaign planning, and contributing to real-life projects, Ellie impressed everyone with her curiosity, adaptability, and professional attitude.

Ellie approached her time with us with a maturity beyond her years, asking thoughtful questions and throwing herself into tasks with confidence and enthusiasm. She brought energy and a fresh perspective to the team, and it was a joy to have her in the office.

Whether it was understanding recruitment strategy or testing out marketing tools, Ellie showed a keen interest in every topic we covered- and left with a much clearer picture of where her future career path might lead.
